If you get a grey box, a bare domain, or somebody’s stock photo, the tags that control it are missing. A page can be perfect and still share as nothing, and a link that looks like nothing gets scrolled past.
Most sites have this problem on more pages than anyone realises, because the tags are set once on a template and never checked again. Checking them one page at a time is not the job. Checking all of them is.

Worth knowing before you buy
If you run WordPress with Yoast or Rank Math, some of these tags are probably already set, and I will tell you that rather than charge you for work you do not need. What those plugins do not do is choose an image worth clicking, write a description that earns the click, or catch the pages where the tag is present and wrong.
