I developed the FanBall site, based on an idea I had spent an initial semester researching and conceptualizing (Design, Process, and Principles; Fall 2019), then another semester developing the site (Society Culture and Digital Sciences; Spring 2020). FanBall was developed to focus more on fan interactivity than a traditional sport or soccer website. It was designed to allow the fans as much freedom as possible and with the polls feature, could even allow fans to interact with their favorite clubs. Included above is are different parts of the design (built in AdobeXd) that I used in a professional presentation I gave demoing the concept, which includes many of the features that I had conceptualized and ended up implementing in the live version. I also have the original idea for the site, fanbase observations, a project reference list, and a comparison with other popular applications at the time.
As for the development side of the project, the site pulled in articles that were posted across the internet via an RSS scraper and allowed comments on each post to enable fan interaction. Also implemented was the poll feature, which was also conceptualized during the Fall 2019 semester. Included to showcase some of these features is a presentation I gave in April 2020 of the site after my initial development.
This site was used to showcase some of the things I had learned about project/product management, and the software development cycle over the course of my time at Kent State.
