Wolves are eyeing a move for Schalke midfielder Omar Mascarell this summer, according to reports.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo is already on the hunt for recruitments ahead of next season.
He’s identified the midfield as one area that can be improved in the transfer market.

According to CaughtOffside, the West Midlands side will launch a bid for Mascarell in the coming months.
They’ve been impressed by his performances in the Bundesliga despite playing in a poor team.
Schalke are staring at relegation from the German top flight for the first time in over 30 years.
They’ve picked up just ten points from their first 24 league matches this term.
One highlight has been Mascarell in midfield. The Spaniard has captained Schalke on numerous occasions and has been one of their better players.
However, he will be allowed to leave if they are relegated.
Wolves are aiming to pounce on the uncertainty with an offer.
They look set to bring the 28-year-old to the Premier League, with Schalke willing to accept around £4million.
Mascarell already has experience of playing in England, although it wasn’t in the top flight.
He spent a season on loan with Derby County in the Championship back in 2014/15.
The former Spain U19 international featured 23 times as Derby finished eighth.
Mascarell has been described as a ‘complete’ midfielder who mainly operates defensively.
He breaks up attacks and provides stability in the centre of the pitch.
Signing a player like that would allow the likes of Pedro Neto and Adama Traore to roam forward.
Nuno Espirito Santo already has a strong midfield at his disposal.
Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho are all available for Wolves.
Mascarell would likely provide cover for these players if one of them got injured.
Given Dendoncker’s role in defence recently, Mascarell could be signed to bolster their options.
