Aston Villa right-back Ahmed Elmohamady is expected to leave the club this summer when his contract expires, according to reports.
The defender first moved to the Premier League in 2010, as he joined Sunderland on loan from Egyptian side ENPPI.
After impressing during his debut season, his move was made permanent ahead of the next season.

He made 61 appearances for the Black Cats before he joined Hull City on loan in 2012. It was here where he was reunited with Steve Bruce, who first brought him to England.
Elmohamady made over 200 appearances for the Tigers from his five seasons with the club both in the Premier League and the Championship.
Bruce, who was Aston Villa boss in 2017, signed the defender again when they were in the Championship. He made 42 appearances for the Villans in 2018/19 as they earned promotion back to the top flight.
The full-back’s game time decreased last season as he played 25 games in all competitions. Villa signed Matty Cash from Nottm Forest last summer and this has seen Elmohamady fall further down the pecking order.
He has only played three times in the Premier League this season and he is out of contract this summer.
Football Insider have reported that Dean Smith plans to let Elmohamady depart Villa this summer.
The report adds that Frederic Guilbert will become Cash’s backup next season. Guilbert joined Strasbourg on loan in January.
