After six years, Carlo Ancelotti is now back at Real Madrid as Los Blancos seek to return to the heights they once enjoyed. The Italian tactician coached the Spanish giants from 2013 to 2015, before departing to manage Bayern Munich, Napoli, and finally, Everton in his last five years following a one year hiatus.
So far, Real Madrid have seen a huge change, with Sergio Ramos leaving after over a decade with the club. Whilst his departure was a sad day for Los Blancos fans, life must go on, and Ancelotti is reportedly looking to bring in some additional changes ahead of the 2021/2022 season.
As per reports from Brazil, namely ESPN Brasil, the highly decorated Italian tactician is apparently keen on bringing Richarlison to Madrid. Player and coach worked together for 18 months at Goodison Park following Ancelotti’s December 2018 appointment, and Richarlison has scored a pretty solid 42 goals in nearly 120 appearances across all comps so far.
The 24-year-old first arrived at Everton in a £50 million deal from Watford. Currently, he’s part of the Brazil squad who will be taking on Argentina in this summer’s Copa America final as the Selecao look to successfully defend their crown and make it a 10th title.
