Gossip: Spurs told to pay €60m for Inter star; Liverpool will ‘try to sell’

Spurs have been told to pay €60m if they want to land one target, while Liverpool will ‘try to sell’ one of their midfielders…

COUGH UP
Tottenham will now be required to pay almost double what they offered last summer if they want to land Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar in the next transfer window, according to a report in Italy.

Spurs showed an interest in the Slovakian in September as they looked to revamp their backline under Jose Mourinho before the north London club brought in Wales international Joe Rodon instead. Skriniar has continued his impressive form this term, making 24 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A club.

And the Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) confirms that Spurs ‘almost took him away in September’ with a €35m offer for the defender. The Italian publication now add that ‘€60m would be needed’ if Tottenham had any chance of luring the 26-year-old away from the San Siro.

The increase in price is due to his brilliant recent form, having been ‘freed’ following the departure of Diego Godin and Skriniar has ‘even surpassed pre-Conte performance levels’.

FAREWELL, MARKO…
Liverpool will look to get the best price they can for Marko Grujic this summer as they look to move the midfielder out of Anfield, according to reports.

Liverpool spent around £5million to bring Grujic to Anfield from Red Star Belgrade in 2016 but he has only made 16 appearances for the Merseysiders. The 24-year-old Serbia international spent the last two seasons on loan at Hertha Berlin, making 54 appearances and scoring nine goals.

Grujic is now on another season-long loan, this time with Porto, where he has failed to contribute a single goal or assist all campaign. And now Sportske claims Liverpool ‘will try to sell’ Grujic this summer and ‘the price could be between 20 and 30 million euros’.

The report adds that ‘although there were good indications that will play an essential role one day’ it now seems that his chances of playing regularly for Liverpool are ‘small’. Sportske also claim that ‘the reason is Curtis Jones’ with the young Englishman making Gurjic’s aim of breaking into the first team even tougher.

AND THE REST…
Sergio Aguero has admitted he has no idea whether this season will be his last at Manchester City…Lionel Messi has not decided where he will be playing next season and his representatives have yet to hold talks with other clubs…Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel wants Christian Pulisic to remain at Stamford Bridge, but says no decisions have been made for the summer…Borussia Dortmund would prefer to sell Jadon Sancho and keep hold of Erling Braut Haaland this summer…Arkadiusz Milik has a 12m euro (£10.3m) buy-out clause included in his Marseille contract.
