Gossip: Liverpool blow, Chelsea choice, Arsenal target

MBAPPE BLOW FOR LIVERPOOL
The blow might be that he watched Liverpool lose in limp fashion to Brighton on Wednesday night and decided there is absolutely no way that he will ever play for the Reds, but actually, the blow is that his former teammate Jese says that his French friend would love to join Real Madrid. Actually we knew that already, but some people in Liverpool insisted that ‘all roads lead to Anfield’.

“He would love to go to Real Madrid,” the forward explained to El Partidazo de COPE on Wednesday. “His idol has always been Cristiano [Ronaldo]. He loves Madrid and I am sure he will play there one day.”

CHELSEA HAVE THREE-MAN LIST
New Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants a new centre-half this summer and of course he has looked towards Germany, according to BILD. They say ‘Chelsea have Niklas Süle (25) on their shopping list – alongside Bayern’s David Alaba (28) and Bayern’s dream player Dayot Upamecano (22 / Leipzig). New coach Thomas Tuchel (47) definitely wants one of the trio!’

So at least we now know everyone’s age. Bayern’s coach Hansi Flick was asked about Chelsea’s interest in Sule and said: “It speaks for a player of ours when other clubs show interest. We’ll see how everything develops and where he sees his future.”

ARSENAL WANT N’DICKA
Arsenal are ahead of Tottenham and Southampton in the chase to secure the transfer of Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan N’Dicka, according to reports in Germany (Sportbild to be precise). N’Dicka is 21 years old and plays as a centre-half or left-back (crucially) for the Bundesliga side who have pulled themselves up to sixth in the table after a seven-match unbeaten run.

N’Dicka is a French Under-21 defender who has been compared to Samuel Umtiti. He says: “I like Samuel Umtiti plays very much, he is very, very strong. I also like the way Raphael Varane plays. Or Adil Rami. I watch them. Getting close to this standard wouldn’t be that bad for me.”
