Lucas Gourna-Douath is set to be the subject of a scramble this summer, with Chelsea among four clubs linked…
Florentino Perez says “there will not be big transfers this summer” without The Super League, but we doubt that the Real Madrid president is speaking for all the big clubs. Real Madrid and Barcelona may be on the bones of their arse, but not all of the big-hitters are as skint as the Spanish giants.
That said, juicy gossip is thin on the ground this Thursday morning while the likes of Perez, Joel Glazer and John W Henry pretend to lick their wounds…
CHELSEA EYE ‘NEW POGBA’
Chelsea and PSG have owners richer than God so we can still expect them to strengthen this summer. Both clubs are reported to be on the trail of Lucas Gourna-Douath.
The Saint-Etienne midfielder has enjoyed a splendid breakthrough season in Ligue 1 this term, with the 17-year-old’s form drawing comparisons with Paul Pogba.
According to Goal, AC Milan and RV Leipzig are also in the running to sign Gourna-Douath, with the French club likely to accept around £20million.

VILLA COULD RESCUE ABRAHAM
Chelsea could raise a few quid from the sale of Tammy Abraham this summer…
Thomas Tuchel says he understands why the striker is feeling ‘worried’ and ‘angry’ about his current predicament, with the 23-year-old having fallen off the Chelsea manager’s radar.
West Ham have been heavily linked with Abraham, but the Birmingham Mail says Aston Villa would be keen to offer him a return to Villa Park. Leicester too are pondering a move for the centre-forward who scored 12 goals before he was added to Tuchel’s sh*t list.

LEEDS MOVE ON FROM GERS WINGER
It seems Marcelo Bielsa just won’t rest until he gets his hands on Ryan Kent.
The Leeds boss has held a long-standing interest in the Rangers winger and it was reported earlier in the week that United would try again to sign Kent this summer.
But Football Insider reports that Leeds have already admitted defeat, with the 24-year-old intent on staying at Ibrox for at least another year.

CLARETS TRACKING TAVARES
The idea of Sean Dyche spending £25million on a young Portuguese defender seems a stretch to us, but Burnley continue to be linked with Nuno Tavares.
Last month, the Clarets and Newcastle were mentioned as potential suitors for the 21-year-old and Burnley are said to remain ‘attentive’ to the Benfica defender’s situation.
That’s the word according to Record – translated by our friends at Sport Witness – with ‘exploratory contacts’ as far as the deal has gone.
Tavares has struggled this season, making only 11 appearances so far. So recent claims of Benfica’s demand for £25million seem optimistic on the Portuguese club’s part.
