Ex-Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has rejected Tottenham as he is waiting for the Real Madrid job to become available, according to reports in Spain.
Spurs have been without a permanent manager since they parted company with Jose Mourinho last month.
The former Man United and Chelsea boss guided them to the Carabao Cup final but a poor stretch of form led to his departure. They also suffered disappointing exits in the FA Cup and Europa League.

Ryan Mason was chosen to take over on a temporary basis. The 29-year-old has three wins and three defeats since he took over.
His second game as a manager came at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final. Spurs were underwhelming on the day as they were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City.
Spanish outlet AS have revealed that Allegri was approached to take over at Spurs on a permanent basis.
They add that the former Juventus boss turned them down as he is waiting for the Real Madrid job to become available.
The Daily Mail reported last week that Madrid’s current manager Zinedine Zidane is expected to leave at the end of this season.
“I think it’s definitely a conversation to be had with the club.
“Yeah, I want to be playing in the biggest games, the biggest moments…I hope that we can have that conversation.
“I’m sure that [Daniel Levy] will want to set out the plan of where he sees it but ultimately it’s going to be down to me and how I feel and what’s going to be the best for me and my career this moment in time.”
Kane added: “I don’t want to have come to the end of my career and have any regrets. So, I want to be the best that I can be. I’ve said before, I’d never say that I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career. I’d never say that I would leave Spurs.
