Teden Mengi says that Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire and Paul Pogba are “the vocal ones” in the Man Utd players’ WhatsApp group.
The highly-rated 18-year-old defender made his first-team debut for Man Utd against LASK in last season’s Europa League and was part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad for the finals in Germany.
Mengi has not featured for Man Utd this term and joined Championship side Derby on loan for the remainder of the campaign, becoming Wayne Rooney’s first signing since taking the manager’s job on a permanent basis.

Having been around the first-team squad for a while, Mengi is in the senior players WhatsApp group and he has revealed who the major players are.
Mengi told YouTube channel UMM: “There are a lot of leaders. Harry [Maguire] is one. Bruno [Fernandes], Paul [Pogba].
“They’re not chatting off. Because in that squad WhatsApp it’s like all to do with football, so they’re the vocal ones about that side.”
On his debut against LASK, Mengi added: “The way I saw it was that was the team that I’ve grown up watching for years.
“And then I’m going on the pitch, making my debut for the team that I’ve been supporting for years. It’s mad.”
On joining Rooney at the Rams, Mengi continued: “He has been brilliant.
“As soon as I found out Derby were interested, Wayne was on the phone. He was telling me what the club is about and what he wants from me. He has been brilliant with me so far.”
