‘Taking the p*ss’ – Spanish presenter destroys ‘overweight’ Hazard

A Spanish TV presenter has hit out at Eden Hazard after the Real Madrid forward was pictured laughing with former Chelsea team-mates on Wednesday night.

Timo Werner and Mason Mount’s goals sunk Real Madrid 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg, for a 3-1 aggregate victory.

The Blues stormed into their first Champions League final since 2012 with a potent showing in west London, even spurning a host of chances as they eased past 13-time tournament winners Madrid.

Hazard was particularly anonymous as he failed to have an impact on the match and was substituted in the 89th-minute with Real chasing the game.

The Belgium international has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu since leaving Stamford Bridge for Madrid and pictures of him laughing with his former team-mates was the final straw for El Chiringuito TV presenter Josep Pedrerol.

Pedrerol doesn’t want to see Hazard play for the La Liga giants ever again after “taking the p*ss out of Madrid fans” for two years.

“Madrid are eliminated, and look at Hazard,” Pedrerol said. “Two years taking the p*ss out of Madrid fans. Two years overweight.

“A lot of people say he is the new Bale. Madrid have spent years waiting for him, negotiating for him, spent £100m on him.

“They’ve just been eliminated, and it is possible for him to find something funny? After Zidane gave him the opportunity to play when he didn’t deserve it? He laughs at everyone?

“There is a lot to analyse about Madrid, such as Zidane’s future, whether Ramos is fit or not to continue, whether there must be changes in the team, whether new signings must be made such as [Kylian] Mbappe, as well as [David] Alaba. There have to be big changes.

“But the situation with Hazard is very serious. Hazard cannot continue for one second more in Madrid.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane will doubtless come under pressure as much for the manner of the callow defeat as the decorated side’s semi-final exit.

The former France playmaker insisted he is not even considering whether he will be at the Real helm next season, with Madrid still chasing the Spanish league title.

“Real Madrid will always be fighting for the Champions League, but I’m not think about that I’m thinking about the end of the season,” said Zidane.

“We’ve got four matches left in the season. We’re thinking about resting and preparing Sunday’s match. The rest will come later.

“We tried but Chelsea were the better team today and you have to congratulate them. That’s it really.”
