Danny Redmond fired in the winning goal for Southampton after they trailed 2-0 to Burnley in the first half.
The Clarets made a bright start as they were 2-0 in front by the 28th minute. Chris Wood put them ahead from the penalty spot before Majez Vydra made it two.
The hosts were level at the break though as goals from Stuart Armstrong and Danny Ings made it 2-2. Southampton pilled on the pressure in the second half before Redmond put them ahead in the 66th minute.
