Son is now just seven appearances away from his tally of 41 from the last campaign. The most games he has played in a single season for Tottenham was 53 during the 2017/18 term.
Speaking during a Tottenham’s latest press conference, as cited by The Evening Stanard, Son suggested that he is “always happy” on the pitch:
“If I say no, it’s probably a lie, because we’ve played so many games already. But I’m always happy when I’m on the pitch.
“Even when I’m tired, I will do my best for the team as they do for me. This is the responsibility for the team and myself. Even if I’m tired, football never disappoints me.
“We play football with love, even with tiredness. I’m not tired of football, I’m in love with football, so there is no problem with fatigue and tiredness.”
