Roma renew sponsor deal ahead of upcoming 2021/22 campaign

Despite the appointment of Jose Mourinho as their new manager, Roma have been quite quiet in the summer transfer market. The only notable activity has been the departure of Turkish midfielder Cengiz Ünder to Olympique Marseille in a loan with an option to buy deal worth about €8.4 million. Other from that, no new arrivals have made it over to the Stadio Olimpico just yet.

Although they haven’t been active so far regarding personnel, the Giallorossi, who finished in seventh place and thus will be competing in the inaugural edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League, have been operative in other areas. The Europa Conference League is UEFA’s tertiary club competition, ranking behind the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.

Whilst they look to hopefully bring in some new faces, Roma have ensured that one of their partnerships will continue for a bit longer. As per sources, the Lupi have opted to extend their sponsorship deal with Hyundai. The capital club and the Korean car manufacturer first linked up ahead of the 2018/2019 season in a deal worth an approximate $3.6 million (€3 million), with the contract lasting for three years through the 2020/2021 term.

But clearly, both parties are happy with their arrangement, and thus have decided to link up for another year. In addition to seeing their logo on Roma’s kits in domestic competitions, Hyundai will also continue to serve as the main global partner for the Giallorossi for the upcoming year..
