Brendan Rodgers was pleased that his “players worked hard after a tough game” as they 0-0 against Wolves on Sunday.
There was very little that separated the sides over the course of the 90 minutes. Both teams registered 13 shots, but they only managed four on target between them.
The best chance of the game came in the final 15 minutes. Leicester struggled to clear a corner which allowed Fabio Silva to be let in one on one with Kasper Schmeichel. The forward tried to place it into the bottom corner but Schmeichel got a vital foot on it to knock it wide.

Leicester had a great chance of their own in stoppage time. Marc Albrighton sent a cross towards the six-yard box which was met by Jamie Vardy.
The striker’s header looked to be going in but it went just wide of the post. The full-time whistle was blown moments later as the sides were made to settle for a point.
Rodgers and Leicester remain third with this draw as they missed a chance to move level on points with Man United in second. They are four points off the top ahead of Man City’s game against Liverpool.
Speaking post-match with Sky Sports, as cited by BBC Sport, Rodgers insisted that he was “proud” of his players after they earned a point against Wolves:
“We’ve always had tight games against Wolves, they switched to a back five today and that makes it difficult when they defend so deep. Proud of my players, we kept going. It’s that time of the year to grind out results but we’ve come out with a point.
“We had some chances and got into some good areas. Their defending and us not making the final pass meant it didn’t work for us. But the players worked hard after a tough game in the week.”
On Jamie Vardy’s late chance: “You could see it develop. He’s so bright and his instinct to make the run when he did and get across the defenders. I think he thought Conor Coady was going to head it so he had to adjust and didn’t quite get it right but you see his instinct.
“Pedro Neto and Adama Traore are so fast and direct but James Justin was outstanding. Neto in the first half gave us a problem and we controlled it better in the second half. Good players, so they’re always going to have their moments.
“To be on 43 points I don’t think there’s cause for concern for us. We want to win every game and the players give everything for the club we just recover now and go again.
“[Schmeichel] produces for us every game, there’s always a save or a moment where he inspires the team. He got a stud to Fabio Silva’s opportunity but that’s what he does. He’s done it for a number of years. He’s one of the top keepers at this level and he’s always hungry to do more so it was a top save.”
