Paul Robinson expects Marcelo Bielsa to remain at Leeds United season, as he is already planning a “new assault” on the Premier League.
Bielsa has done a fantastic job with the Whites since he took over in 2018. He guided them to the Championship title in 2019/20, which saw them return to the Premier League for the first time since 2003/04.
Leeds United’s fearless approach under Bielsa has been one of the bright sparks of this season. Their performances have resulted in some impressive wins, as they sit 10th in the Premier League. They are currently on 35 points and they are 13 points above the bottom three.

They have spent just short of £100m on new recruits this campaign. Included in this are the big-money signings of Rodrigo Moreno, Diego Llorente and Raphinha.
Speaking to MOT Leeds News, Robinson claimed that with financial support, Bielsa can turn Leeds into a real “force” next season:
“There’s a real rapport with Bielsa and Leeds United, it seems like he’s finally found somewhere where he’s really enjoying working and that he’s got a real tie to. He’s having to spend a lot of time away from his family but he’s a workaholic and it’s something that he seems to have a real passion for.
“He’s found a home at Leeds and I think the feeling’s mutual. He only ever signs 12-month contracts and that always gives him the option to leave but he’s talking about players for next season and he’s already planning a new assault on the Premier League.
“He can see what he’s got already and with new investment for the team, if he gets a decent budget then he can really turn Leeds into a force next season.”
