Harry Redknapp has suggested that Joshua King’s “heart has not been there” for Bournemouth this season with him hoping for a move back to the Premier League.
The forward spent five seasons in the top flight with Bournemouth. He scored 45 goals for them in the Premier League from his 161 appearances.
His best goalscoring season came in 2016/17 as he netted 16 times from his 36 outings. He also impressed last season as the Cherries were relegated back down to the Championship.

King was linked with a move away in the summer but he did end up staying with Bournemouth. He has scored three goals from his 14 appearances this term.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp claimed that King has not been the same player this year with him being desperate to return to the Premier League:
“I obviously watch Bournemouth a lot and I have to say since the start of the season, Joshua King’s heart hasn’t been there. He was fantastic alongside Callum Wilson and now he’s got to make his own mind up. He’s out of contract at the end of the year, and I’ve followed his career.
“I’ve seen him and Wilson murder teams, but this year I don’t think he’s been anywhere near the same player. His heart was set on a move in the summer, so I think they’ve thought it’s best he leaves now. But he can certainly play.”
