Real Madrid 1-1 Chelsea: Tuchel’s men hold Los Blancos to take control

Chelsea put in a great away performance as they take an away goal into their return leg against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues started the game really brightly as they caused Madrid all sorts of problems. They deservedly took the lead in the 14th minute. Christian Pulisic dribbled the ball past Thibaut Courtois in the area before he found the net.

Zinedine Zidane’s side equalised against the run of play in the 29th minute. Karim Benzema did brilliantly as he smashed the ball home on the volley.

The first half was lively but the second half was not so good. The final 45 minutes were even as it finished 1-1. Chelsea have the edge heading into next week’s second leg with that away goal.
