Pogba comes clean about exit rumors amid Paris Saint-Germain links

Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United is quite uncertain, and the footballer did little to play down the rumors linking him with an exit from the Premier League club.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of France’s debut in the UEFA Euro 2020, the midfielder referred to his contractual situation at Old Trafford. While he tried to divert the question, he dropped a hint about how things could go down in the next few weeks regarding his next move and how the club has not made any attempt to keep him around.

“I have a year left on the contract, everyone knows that. There have been no concrete extension proposals. I am still a Manchester United player,” Pogba stated.

When asked further about his future and the possibility of signing a deal with PSG, who have reportedly shown interest in his services, Pogba left any decision about his future to Mino Raiola, his agent. But then again, he refused to commit his future to the English side or the French club.

“Contacts with PSG? I have an agent that deals with all that. I don’t have Al-Khelaifi’s number,” the player added.

Reports coming in from England and Italy suggest that Manchester United will consider bids to transfer Pogba away from the club this summer due to his reluctance to sign a new deal. PSG and even Real Madrid have been named as potential destinations for the midfielder.

Other media outlets hint that Juventus could be the Frenchman’s next destination if they can work out a swap deal with Juventus that may include Cristiano Ronaldo. Be that as it may, the next couple of weeks will be crucial to determine the player’s future, especially if the Red Devils want to get something in exchange of a player that could leave on a free next summer.
