Facundo Pellistri admits he was “hoping to have a little more time” with Manchester United before being loaned out to Alaves.
The 19-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Penarol in the summer and despite being promised a first-team role, found himself in the reserves.

He scored two goals in six games in Premier League 2 before being loaned out to La Liga side Alaves to experience senior European football.
The winger has made two substitute appearances totalling 77 minutes for Alaves so far.
Reflecting on his first few months at United, Pellistri told ESPN South America: “I am very happy despite the rapid changes, faster than I imagined.
“I was hoping to have a little more time in Manchester. But on the club’s side they have organised what to do with each player.”
Pellistri also revealed that he is happy with his progress at his new club.
“The coach gave me the last two games and he is giving me confidence,” he added. “My team-mates too.”
