England Under 21s played the Italy Under 21s in front of a crowd of 55,700. The match was a real thriller, ending 3-3.
Italy’s Giampaolo Pazzini put his name in the history books by scoring the first goal at the new national stadium. It only took him 29 seconds to find the back of the net.
David Bentley, Wayne Routledge and Matt Derbyshire were the three players to score that night for England.
