Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly looking to raise £60m by selling four Man Utd players this summer, including Jesse Lingard.
The Red Devils supporters will be satisfied with the club’s progress in the Premier League as they occupy second position, nine points clear of fifth-placed West Ham, who they beat 1-0 on Sunday.
Their decent Premier League return so far this season has seen expectations increase at Old Trafford with many fans hoping Man Utd can build on this by bringing in a few new faces in the summer transfer window.

However, Solskjaer recently played down talk of big summer signings with Man Utd committed to realistic and responsible business this summer.
And The Metro now claims that Solskjaer ‘hopes to raise as much as £60m through player sales this summer after being handed a modest budget of around £80m by his board’.
If he can do that he would have £140m to spend with Solskjaer looking to sign ‘a centre-back, a right winger, a defensive midfielder and – depending on Edinson Cavani’s future – a centre forward this summer’.
The Norwegian is ‘acutely aware of the need to raise funds through player sales’ with the club now ‘confident’ they can get their ‘£20m asking price’ for Lingard, who is currently on loan at West Ham.
Lingard has scored four goals and provided one assist in six Premier League matches since arriving at the London Stadium in January and those performances will up his value.
They will also be hoping for a ‘small increase’ on the £18m they paid to bring Diogo Dalot to Old Trafford in 2018 with the former Porto youngster now a regular starter on loan at AC Milan.
Phil Jones and Juan Mata are the two other players they are likely to try and sell in the summer, with the former ‘surplus to requirements’.
Mata is out of contract in the summer but Man Utd reportedly plan to ‘trigger a 12-month extension clause in his deal before listening to offers for the Spaniard’.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils have been linked with three defenders and a midfielder in this morning’s transfer gossip column.
