Memphis Depay got his second goal of the game for the Netherlands in the 89th minute to equalise against Scotland.
Scotland made a perfect start as they took a surprise lead in the eleventh minute. They pressed the Netherlands high up the pitch which allowed Stuart Armstrong to dispossess Memphis Depay.
The ball fell nicely for Jack Hendry, who expertly found the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
Press conferences are tired vestige of journalistic arrogance
Their lead did not last long, though. After being involved in the opener, Depay got his side back into it. The former Man United forward netted via a sweet volley.
Shortly after coming off the bench, Kevin Nisbet restored Scotland’s lead. He was found at the back post by Andy Robertson, and he made no mistake as he converted from close range. Scotland were on course for victory until Depay equalised late-on.
Steve Clarke’s side face Luxembourg on Sunday before their Euros campaign gets underway on June 14 against the Czech Republic.
