Furthermore, PSG’s partnership with cryptocurrency website Crypto.com will also see La Pulga pocket an extra $35M (€30M) over the duration of his Les Parisiens deal. Despite joining on a free transfer, the 34-year-old did not receive a transfer bonus, a move that goes against the growing trend in Bosman transfers.

While L’Equipe’s claims might not be 100 percent correct due to the complex nature of modern-day football contracts, we can safely deduce that Messi is being handsomely paid at the Parc des Princes. All that’s left is for Leo to get off the mark with his new club, having made his debut in the 2-0 victory over Reims and his first start in the 1-1 draw with Club Brugge.
