Kylian Mbappe would be worth the “massive investment” needed to bring him to Liverpool, according to former Reds player Djibril Cisse.
The forward made his breakthrough with French side Monaco and he helped them win the Ligue 1 title in 2016/17. He scored 26 times from 44 appearances in all competitions that season.
In August 2017, Mbappe joined PSG on an initial loan deal with a view to signing permanently for around €145m plus add-ons. This deal made him the second most expensive player ever behind Neymar.

The 22-year-old has grown into one of the world’s leading attackers in recent years. He has 107 goals from 149 games for PSG. He also shone for France in 2018 to help his country win the World Cup for the second time.
In recent times, Mbappe has been linked with a move to Liverpool. Speaking on this proposed transfer with The Daily Mail, Cisse insisted that the Frenchman could take Jurgen Klopp’s side to the next level:
“To be honest I spoke to a few journalists. We were talking about Kylian Mbappe because he’s the best in the world at the moment.
“I see him in Liverpool, big time. It’s a lot of money. A big, massive investment but I think that the boy is worth it and I see him there.
“First of all, he’s clever, he’s a team player so he can play in different positions and he will match with Salah and Sadio [Mane]. If Firmino stays, you know, it will be a crazy team. For me, that would be the best team in the world.
“He would be the one. I don’t know what Liverpool can do in terms of investment but it would be a big move for a key player. I want to dream, and I want to see him there.”
