Pau Torres says he’s focused on Villarreal’s Champions League campaign next season amid rumours linking him with Man Utd.
The centre-back is believed to be a top target for the Red Devils, with his release clause standing at €65million (£55.9m).
He recently achieved European glory with his boyhood club as they beat Man Utd in the Europa League final.

When asked about the Premier League links, Torres said (via ESPN): “Right now I have a contract with Villarreal.
“We’ve won a European trophy. We’ve shown we can compete against any opponent. Next year we have the Champions League ahead of us, and that’s what I’m focused on.
“Those rumours mean that you’re doing a good job. I’m calm. Those rumours came out a while ago and I don’t think my performance has changed, it’s been good.”
The 24-year-old is currently preparing for a busy month with Spain at the delayed 2020 European Championship.
He’s established himself as a first-choice defender under Luis Enrique, alongside new Barcelona signing Eric Garcia.
Leeds United star Diego Llorente and Aymeric Laporte will also compete for a starting place in the absence of Sergio Ramos.
Torres could be the subject of a huge Man Utd bid following the end of the international tournament.
They’ve also been linked with Frenchman Jules Kounde, but it looks like Torres’ lower price tag makes him the preferred fit.
Torres would be expected to partner Harry Maguire in the heart of the United defence.
Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof remains options for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but aren’t seen as top-quality players to take the club forward.
The manager is targeting a new right winger in addition to the capture of Torres.
Jadon Sancho is his ideal signing, having lit up the Bundesliga since making the switch to Borussia Dortmund.
Reports speculate Dortmund will have to sell Sancho before they can bringing anyone in, making a deal this summer likely.
If a move for the England international fails then Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele will have to do.
