Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he “wouldn’t mind” if Man Utd against Real Sociedad turned into a one-leg Europa League tie in Turin to cut down on matches.
The first leg of the Red Devils’ last-32 clash with the Spanish side on Thursday has been moved to Juventus’ Allianz Stadium but the second leg will remain at Old Trafford.
A number of matches in the Europa League and Champions League have been moved to neutral venues due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Solskjaer said: “We hope Europe is sustainable. Travel in Europe is difficult. It’s not a decision we made but when one game is on a neutral venue it is a disadvantage to the team that doesn’t have a home game. That is out of our hands.
“I wouldn’t mind playing one game in Turin. It would be one game less. That’s what we did last season, we met somewhere neutral and made it a tournament. We do have a little advantage to have the away game in Turin. I wouldn’t stand in the way of it.”
Scott McTominay scored the winning goal – his third in three games – as Man Utd beat West Ham in a 1-0 extra-time victory in the FA Cup fifth round on Tuesday night and Solskjaer believes there’s more to come from the Scot.
Solskjaer added: “To add goals from midfield is vital. Three forwards last season were brilliant, Bruno Fernandes scored more.
“We needed more from midfield and Scott has the ability. He used to be a striker. If he can get to double figures, that would be a very good season for a so-called defensive midfielder.”
