Man Utd could use left-back Alex Telles as part of a deal to land Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports in Italy.
Telles was signed in the summer from Porto for a fee believed to £15.4m as the Red Devils looked to provide Luke Shaw with some top competition at left-back.
The Brazilian defender hasn’t set the world alight at Old Trafford with Shaw starting the majority of matches in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, with Telles restricted to just six Premier League starts.

InterLive (via Goal) describe the Telles as a ‘real flop’ – which seems a bit harsh – and they say ‘a farewell at the end of the year cannot be excluded’.
And apparently Man Utd have an idea to ‘put on the plate the Telles card’ in a ‘big deal that would also involve Marcelo Brozovic’.
The Red Devils are keen on the Croatian, who has one goal and six assists in 17 Serie A starts this season, and are prepared to offer money plus Telles to land him.
Telles is said to be valued at €20m and the report claims it would take the 28-year-old plus another €30-32m to persuade Inter Milan to sell Brozovic.
InterLive add that Brozovic ‘would raise the overall quality of the midfield available to Solskjaer at Manchester United’ despite the Norwegian already having an embarrassment of riches in midfield.
Brozovic was heavily linked with United’s Premier League rivals Liverpool last summer with reports at the time saying the Merseysiders would capitalise on Inter’s ‘essential’ sale.
When discussing what Man Utd need in the transfer market, Paul Ince recently criticised the Red Devils’ deal for Telles as he was “not sure” about the left-back.
Ince said in January: “Maybe a left-back, I know Telles has come in but I’m not sure what Telles is.
“At the moment United are playing so well I don’t think we want to disrupt anything. It’s a strange league, teams aren’t winning week in, week out.”
