Man City have contacted Catalan giants Barcelona over a summer move for Sergi Roberto, according to reports.
The 29-year-old has previously been linked with Man Utd but could join the Premier League champions in the coming months.
He’s rumoured to be interested in a Man City move as he plots a fresh challenge.

According to Spanish source Sport (via Goal), Man City are keen to sign Roberto and have made initial an initial approach about a deal.
His contract expires in 2022 and it’s unclear whether he will be offered a new one, meaning Barcelona might be forced to sell this summer.
Roberto is one of Pep Guardiola‘s top targets to improve his midfield. He already has Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri and veteran enforcer Fernandinho available, but the Spaniard would help to provide an extra bit of quality.
The player is also a renowned utility man with the ability to operate at right-back. He could cover for Kyle Walker at the Etihad in the event of an injury for the England international.
City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has promised a busy transfer window, saying: “You need to constantly bring talent into the team, refresh and particularly when you are at a high level on the top.
“Having won the league it is not the team to sit back and be content, that is the biggest mistake. This is the time to send a strong message that there is no contentment, you are not satisfied with just winning the league.”
The Sky Blues allowed Sergio Aguero to leave for free, so a new striker will be targeted in addition to Roberto.
Erling Haaland and Harry Kane are the current frontrunners to take over from Aguero.
Haaland recently won the Bundesliga Player of the Year award after scoring 27 goals in just 28 appearances.
Guardiola could make the Norwegian a Premier League superstar by playing him alongside Phil Foden and Ferran Torres.
Kane, meanwhile, is keen to engineer a Spurs exit in the aftermath of another disappointing season for the north London side.
He is expected to cost upwards of £100million.
