It would be “ridiculous” if Jesse Lingard is not called up for the Euros this summer by Gareth Southgate, according to Marlon Harewood.
Lingard has enjoyed a career resurgence since he joined West Ham on loan in January.
The Englishman has nine goals and three assists from just eleven outings in the Premier League.

Lingard received an England recall in March for their World Cup qualifiers. His fine form has continued since then and this has fuelled talk that he could be included in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad for the Euros this summer.
Ex-West Ham man Harewood has told This is Futbol that based on his form, it would be “stupid” if Lingard is not included this summer:
“Based on his performances now it would be stupid not to take him because for me personally, I think you should pick players that are in form for their club.
“Gareth will get it in the neck if he doesn’t take him because there’s no one in England who’s in the same form he’s in, and it would just be ridiculous to not pick him.”

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he was questioned by Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves during their victory over Roma:
“I watched the United game [against Roma] and after half-time the pundits were flabbergasted United didn’t change their team,” Klopp said. “They then scored four goals in the second half and changed a few players and Greenwood scored.
“It’s nice to see when the quality of a manager is more important than the experience you have.
“If you need to have 50 Champions League games before you can take on the job at a team like United, then that would be tricky to find someone. There aren’t a lot of coaches out there with that experience.
“It’s clear that if Solskjaer didn’t have history at United as a player, not so many people at United would have thought about him.
“Nobody knew how it would work and it worked out absolutely sensationally from the beginning and then a little dip, and now they look absolutely really good. He deserves credit for that along with his coaches.
“I’m happy for him to be honest. Even though he coaches a club I don’t think too often about, I am really happy for a colleague to do really well.”
