Mbappe told to consider ‘once in a lifetime’ Liverpool transfer

Former France striker Djibril Cisse has told compatriot Kylian Mbappe to consider making a “one in a lifetime” move to Liverpool.

Mbappe could be on his way out of France in the next year after reportedly telling PSG he wants to leave.

That’s sent the footballing world into a frenzy as Real Madrid, Liverpool and Juventus are all linked with the player.

The Liverpool Echo claimed recently that ‘all signs point to Anfield’ for Mbappe, with the Reds’ relationship with Nike and LeBron James apparently key to potentially landing the Frenchman.

And Cisse reckons Mbappe is the type of player Liverpool fans would love and has urged his fellow Frenchman to move.

“Kylian Mbappe suits the English style of football and he would fit into Liverpool’s system well,” Cisse told William Hill.

“The Kop would absolutely love him because they want players with a fighting spirit and a direct style of play that can always make something happen with them in the side.

“He’s not the type of player who plays the ball side-to-side. He is always going to use the ball and go at players in a one-v-one situation and make things happen. He is always going to create chances.

“I think he would do very well at Liverpool, so we’ll see what happens. If I had the chance to meet him and speak to him, then I would give him the advice to go.

“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and he wouldn’t regret it.”
