Spurs boss Jose Mourinho says he’s ‘optimistic’ that the injury to Harry Kane is ‘nothing serious’.
The England striker rescued a point for Mourinho’s side by scoring twice in the 2-2 draw with Everton on Friday.
He had to be subbed off in stoppage time after picking up what appeared to be an ankle injury.

The north London side took the lead at Goodison Park in the 27th minute. A Tanguy Ndombele cross was glanced on by Michael Keane into the path of Kane. He took one touch before firing a left-footed effort past the returning Jordan Pickford.
Everton equalised just four minutes later through Gylfi Sigurdsson. He bagged from the penalty spot after Sergio Reguilon brought down James Rodriguez in the box.
The Toffees took the lead after half time, with Sigurdsson getting on the scoresheet once again. Seamus Coleman linked up well with Richarlison down the right wing. Coleman’s resulting cross was confidently dispatched by Sigurdsson on his left foot.
But Kane rescued his team in the 68th minute with another clinical strike.
Speaking about Kane to Sky Sports (via BBC Sport), Mourinho said: “It is too early to say something. For him to leave the pitch with a few minutes to go is obviously because he felt something. Let me be optimistic and believe that he has time to recover. Let’s see.
“Let me be optimistic and believe it’s nothing serious. It’s obvious he’s a very important player for us. I cannot say much or speculate.
“Both [Kane’s goals] were from crosses but it was great finishing. It’s the kind of player that when you see the first touch and the control, we are used to seeing it in training and we know it is fantastic finishing. Two beautiful goals but not a surprise for the ones who see him do it every day in training.”
When asked about the wider Spurs performance, the manager added: “I think it was a game between two teams that have lots of similarities. We are very similar in many aspects.
“It’s teams who are capable of scoring goals and can concede too. It was a good game where both teams tried to win it and probably a fair result.”
Mourinho was in the headlines earlier this week as Paul Pogba accused him of casting players aside, without explanation, during his time as Manchester United boss.
Responding to the criticism, Mourinho said: “I would like to say that I couldn’t care less with what he says. I am not interested at all.”
