John Barnes thinks Chelsea duo Timo Werner and Kai Havertz can learn from the patience Fabinho has showed during his first couple of seasons at Liverpool.
Werner and Havertz were Chelsea’s two most expensive signings this summer as the club spent over £200m on new recruits.
But both players have struggled to hit the ground running so far. Werner has nine goals this season but he has failed to score in his last 12 Premier League games.

Havertz meanwhile has not scored in the league since Chelsea’s 3-3 draw against Southampton in October.
It took Fabinho a while to settle in and play regularly at Liverpool, but now he is a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s side, and Barnes thinks Werner and Havertz should take heart from the Brazilian’s story.
Barnes told BonusCodeBets: “Havertz and Werner have to understand what the manager wants just as Fabinho had to understand what Klopp wants from his position and how he wants them to play. Tuchel might change the way they play to best suit them, if anybody can get the best out of them then I’m sure it will be him.
“Tuchel is German so may know a lot about Werner and Havertz, and maybe they’ll feel comfortable with him. He’ll give them confidence because they are good players.
“They are very good players but it just hasn’t worked out at Chelsea for them yet, they should be given time. Tuchel might be able to get the best out of them, but it won’t happen overnight.”
