Hero – Kevin Hector
You don’t get called ‘The King’ by Derby fans for nothing. Hector was a legend for Derby, spending years at the Baseball Ground after joining from Bradford City in 1966.
Between 1970 and 1972, Hector played 105 consecutive League games for The Rams. He lifted the League Championship on two occasions when at the club. The first title was under Brian Clough in 1972 and the second time under Dave Mackay in 1975.
He came back for a second spell in the early 80’s and was loved by all Derby fans.
Villain – Claude Davis
Claude Davis was part of the Derby side who amassed a meagre 11 points over the whole of the 2007/08 season, a record that stands to this day.
His name appears in countless lists of worst-ever players on various sites across the internet.
Davis joined Derby in the pre-season of 2007, for £3 million from Sheffield United. He made a total of 27 appearances in his time at Pride Park, 19 of them during the disastrous 2007/08 campaign.
