Alan Shearer says Kai Havertz should have scored “two or three tap-ins” in Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Leeds on Saturday.
Havertz led the line again for the Blues after his excellent performance in the same position in the victory over Everton.
But the £72million summer signing spurned a number of opportunities as Chelsea missed the chance to leapfrog Leicester City into third place in the Premier League.

Tuchel extended his unbeaten run to 12 matches but admitted post-match that his side were not ruthless enough in front of goal – something Shearer put down to Havertz.
“I thought Chelsea played really well, they got into some excellent positions, but they just weren’t clinical enough,” Shearer said on Match of the Day.
“Tuchel said there about him (Havertz) getting forward and making runs into the box, he didn’t quite do that, certainly in the first-half, because if he had had, he’d have two or three tap-ins.
“Yes, they played well, yes, they got into positions but they certainly weren’t clinical enough.
“If he is going to play in that position that the manager wants him to, then he’s got to get into better positions.”
Havertz started as a false nine with Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech playing up alongside him.
Chelsea managed 15 shots, with eight of those on target, and dominated possession but failed to find a real spark in the attacking third – an ongoing problem for Tuchel and his side, who are yet to score more than two goals in a game since the German arrived in West London.
Reece James, Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi all came off the bench but were unable to break the deadlock at Elland Road in a frustrating afternoon.
Despite Havertz’s struggles, Tuchel was pleased with his overall performance.
“Unfortunately he could not finish like he finishes in training and like his talent allows him to finish, because we had enough chances,” Tuchel said.
“But in general, this is a position where he feels comfortable and I trust him in this position.”
