Gareth Bale drops hint on immediate future after the end of the UEFA Euro

Football fans around the world have speculated about Gareth Bale’s future for quite a while, and the footballer added fuel to that fire today while speaking in a press conference prior to the clash against Denmark.

The Welsh captain has been tipped to be returning to Real Madrid this summer, but no one has worried about his future with the national team. Today, the footballer dropped a huge hint regarding his availability with the Welsh side, hinting that the UEFA Euro could be his last tournament with The Dragons.

“I will not try to play this game as if it were my last for the Welsh team. My idea is to play the Quarterfinals. Once this game ends, we will see what happens,” Bale said.

The footballer went on to explain the feeling his teammates must have when a match such as this one comes along, mainly because of how important it could be in their careers.

“If we are not excited when we’re about to play these games, the best thing would be not to be here. It will be quite a tough game, but I think we can win even if 99% of those in attendance will be cheering for Denmark,” Bale added.

Before the presser ended, Bale had an answer to those fans and experts who believe that Wales have no chance to win this game, even if they reached the semi-finals in the 2016 edition.

“We have always been labeled as the underdogs, we’re used to it. We faced Turkey in front of 18,000 opposing fans and we rallied past them. We are not intimidated by that, and we will fight until the end,” Bale concluded.
