The proposed European Super League could see clubs breach players’ contracts, according to reports.
There’s been widespread uproar following the announcement of a new 20-club European competition.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino and UEFA’s Aleksander Ceferin have condemned the move.

Fellow Premier League clubs, including Everton, have slammed the ‘Big Six’ for their involvement.
According to The Athletic, the planned league might violate the players’ contracts.
Agents of Premier League stars have flagged clause 6.1.1 of a typical contract, which states that a team ‘should not do anything that stops a player featuring for his country’.
It also ensures that clubs must follow ‘the statutes and regulations of FIFA and UEFA and the FA rules and league rules’, which would be broken by the planned breakaway.
Both the ESL and UEFA have consulted lawyers and experts about their legal standing.
In addition, the report reveals how top flight players have responded to the ESL plans.
One source, speaking about Manchester United players, said: “The boys aren’t happy. They feel exposed by the club, uninformed, and as though the club didn’t bother to fill them in or consult the players over career-influencing changes.”
Another, who has links with Arsenal, said: “They feel this was sprung on them and not clearly communicated. The wage cuts p*ssed people off, but Raul [Sanllehi, former head of football] is a good talker and he had Mikel Arteta onside.
“That was something that was put to them as a decision [for them to make]. But this is completely out of their hands.”
Liverpool midfielder James Milner became one of the first players to speak out on Monday.
After the 1-1 draw with Leeds United, he said: “There is a lot of questions.
“I can only say my personal opinion, I don’t like it and hopefully it doesn’t happen. I can only imagine what has been said about it and I probably agree with most of it.
“I think for us we just try and concentrate on the game, there is obviously a lot going on, but for us we just have to try and be professional and concentrate on the game that is the only thing we can control.”
