West Ham United host London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday as they look to maintain an unlikely charge towards Europe.
The Hammers, flying high in fifth, are four places ahead of Jose Mourinho’s men and six points better off. They have only lost one of their last 10 Premier League matches and, according to manager David Moyes, will be buoyed by October’s 3-3 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, when they miraculously recovered to salvage a point, scoring three goals in the final 10 minutes.
“That fixture will always be a good memory for me,” he told the BBC. “To come from 3-0 down with ten minutes to go against Tottenham takes some doing.
“I can’t remember doing that before as a manager, so it was a great achievement for the players. Sometimes you need a result like that to get momentum going and help your belief, and I’m sure we took a lot of belief from that one.”
From that point onwards, West Ham’s momentum has been virtually unchecked, with January recruit Jesse Lingard becoming the latest player to make his mark on what has been a remarkable season for the East London club.

It may yet get better, according to Moyes, who feels another positive result against Tottenham could raise the ceiling for this side even higher.
“It would be really significant if we could beat them because it would push us on in our position,” he said.
“We’re new kids on the block in this, so we’re trying to challenge and hang in there. We’re challenging in every game, we might not win every game, but we’re trying to make our mark in them and in most of the games we’ve had a chance.”
He won’t be underestimating the threat of Tottenham, though, despite their erratic form.
“I don’t think I’ve ever doubted for a minute the attacking threat or qualities Spurs have,” Moyes said.
“They are one of the top teams in the country and we know we’ll have a tough game on Sunday.”
