Conflicting reports have circulated surrounding Spurs and their potential managerial target, Roberto Martinez.
Tottenham have been without a permanent boss since Jose Mourinho left the club just over a month ago.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss departed Spurs the week of the Carabao Cup final.

Their former player Ryan Mason has taken interim charge of the club. He has four wins and three defeats from his seven games as a manager. Spurs lost 1-0 to Manchester City at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final.
Ralf Rangnick and Brighton boss Graham Potter are among those who have been linked with the vacant Tottenham job.
Current Belgium manager Roberto Martinez has also been linked with the vacancy of late. The former Everton and Wigan manager succeeded Marc Wilmots as Belgium boss in 2016.
Sky Sports have reported that “talks are continuing this week” between Martinez and Spurs. They add that he has told his friends that he is hoping to return to club management after the Euros.
Meanwhile, Alasdair Gold (Spurs correspondent for Football London) has refuted these claims. He suggests that Martinez is not a contender for the Spurs managers job at the moment:
As plenty of people are asking about Roberto Martinez, as I’ve said before he is someone Spurs like but he’s not believed to be a contender right now for the current vacant managerial post.

“I don’t feel I need to talk to Kane regarding focus or professionalism. He has one goal with us and that’s to win the European Championship.
“He knows how important that is at this moment in time. What’s happening at his club is a matter for him and Tottenham. He’s made some statements in the last few days, but that is out of the way now.
“It’s very unlikely that transfer deals will be done while we are away. It’s different when we meet up in September and I’m very realistic that you can’t stop phones ringing, but most deals will be done at the end of the tournament or in the first week before it starts.
“I would expect most deals in terms of our players to be done after the tournament.”
