After leaving Arsenal to join Nice on loan in January, William Saliba is once again back shining in Ligue 1.
Arsenal have high hopes for Saliba, but the centre-back failed to convince Mikel Arteta he is ready for life in the Premier League and was left out of the Gunners’ competitive squads for the first half of the 2020-21 season before his switch to Nice.
The 19-year-old was named Nice’s Player of the Month for January, and we’ve compared his stats in Ligue 1 to the corresponding Premier League figures of Arteta’s current centre-back options: Gabriel Magalhaes, David Luiz and Rob Holding.
