Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has insisted that he is “really happy” with Chelsea despite there being ongoing links of a transfer back to Italy.
The Italian rose to prominence during a five-year spell with Napoli between 2013 and 2018. He particularly impressed under Maurizio Sarri in his final couple of years.
Jorginho helped the Italian giants win the Coppa Italia in 2013/14 and under Sarri, they finished second in Serie A in 2015/16 and 2017/18.

Sarri took over at Chelsea ahead of the 2018/19 season. Jorginho was linked with a move to Man City that summer, but he eventually opted to join the Blues. The Londoners signed him for a fee of around £50m with add-ons.
The 29-year-old featured 54 times for Chelsea during his debut season. They finished as that year’s runners up in the Carabao Cup but they did beat Arsenal 4-1 to lift the Europa League.
Sarri left the club that summer but Jorginho has continued to play a key role under Frank Lampard and now with Thomas Tuchel.
The central midfielder is nearing the end of his third season at Stamford Bridge and he has played 127 times for them across all competitions.
Jorginho has been linked with a move back to Italy in recent months. In an interview that has been cited by Sport Witness, Jorginho reiterated that he does not plan to leave anytime soon:
“Dude, I’ll tell you the truth. At the moment, how am I going to think about the future two years from now, having what I still have to play this season. Then the Euro is coming.
“So, honestly, there’s no way to think ahead. In fact, I’m very happy here. I’m really happy here. So I don’t think about anything else either. Now, at the moment, there’s no reason to think about what will happen in two years, for example.”
Jorginho was speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League quarter-final against Portuguese outfit Porto on Wednesday night.
The Blues travel to Seville for the first leg this evening before they play their return leg at Stamford Bridge next week.
