David Beckham has heaped praise on his former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the job he is doing as manager of Manchester United.
Solskjaer became Man United’s caretaker boss in December 2018 as he took over from Jose Mourinho. After winning 14 of his first 19 games in charge, he was given the job on a permanent basis.
In his first full season as boss, the Red Devils reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and the Europa League.

They lost 3-2 on aggregate to Man City in the Carabao Cup and they lost 3-1 to Chelsea in the FA Cup. Their Europa League exit came at the hands of eventual winners, Sevilla.
But they were able to end the Premier League season strongly to secure a Champions League spot by finishing third.
Man United currently sit second in the table with nine games to go. They are 14 points behind Man City, but they do have a game in hand.
City knocked them out of the Carabao Cup earlier this season and Leicester dumped them out of the FA Cup on Sunday.
United are in the quarter-finals of the Europa League. They could face Arsenal in the final if both teams advance.
Beckham told ESPN that results are starting to show how good of a job Solskjaer is doing:
“I’ve seen some of the criticism. But I suppose when you are a manager of Man United when they’ve had success over the years that they’ve had, there was always going to be a point where people get criticised. Whether it’s the players, whether it’s the owners, whether it’s the manager.
“Ole’s been in the game long enough to be able to take any kind of criticism. He’s very quiet, he gets on with his job, and I think he’s done an incredible job down at United.
“The results are starting to show that. Hopefully, it continues because the fans love Ole, we all love Ole and we all want him to do well. So when the criticism comes, he’s one person that can take it.”
