Roy Keane described Arsenal as “shocking” and “dreadful” despite snatching a late 1-1 draw against Fulham on Sunday.
Eddie Nketiah came off the bench to score a last-minute equaliser against Fulham after a second-half penalty from Josh Maja had given the Cottagers the lead.
The Gunners had looked brilliant in their previous two encounters against Sheffield United and Slavia Prague – but Arsenal fans were again brought back down to earth as they turned in a poor performance against Scott Parker’s side.

And Keane described Arsenal as “lucky” to score an equaliser as they were “shocking, dreadful” going forward.
Keane said on Sky Sports: “I don’t think Fulham deserved to win, they were poor. But the lack of quality from both teams, it was dreadful.
“Arsenal were even worse. God help Arsenal going forward. I thought they were shocking, dreadful. No quality. They got lucky at the end. Arsenal, my goodness.”
On their inconsistency, Mikel Arteta said: “That’s the reason we are where we are in the league.
“Because when you face the games like today and you produce what you produce, you have to win it.
“That’s what the top teams are doing consistently in the league, and when you don’t do it then obviously the consequences are that you are where you are.
“Arsenal deserved three points, without a doubt.
“You have to respect every opinion but you ask me my opinion and I tell you that we totally deserved to win the match, and you have to look back at the chances we created, two goals disallowed, and we conceded with one shot on target.”
Fulham are six points off safety with only five matches still to play this season and their hopes of Premier League survival now look slim.
Speaking after the match, Parker said: “I’m disappointed and gutted and the overriding factor is the team have worked tirelessly today, given everything, come to a place like this against a very good side and manged to get our nose in front
“I’m immensely proud of the team and the journey they have been on and I often say a young team lacking Premier League experience and the journey has been an incredible one.
“They’ve given me everything and people will point fingers and say where we’ve failed and rightly so but there’s one area we have never failed and that’s desire and spirit and that’s the reason we still have a fighting chance. I’m proud but passion and spirit don’t win games, we need to win games, we will try to do that.”
