Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos has suggested that the Spanish top flight is better for his game than the Premier League.
The midfielder is in his second season with the Gunners. He initially joined on loan in July 2019 for the entire 2019/20 campaign.
He grew into the campaign and he played a significant role as Mikel Arteta’s side won their fourteenth FA Cup.

It was announced in September last year that Ceballos’ loan would be extended until the end of this season.
The 24-year-old has made 74 appearances in total for the Londoners since his move to the Premier League.
His Real Madrid teammate Martin Odegaard joined Arsenal on loan in January. He has impressed since making the move but AS have reported that Madrid have “no intention” of letting Odegaard leave this summer.
A separate report from Football London has stated that Arsenal did not intend to make Ceballos’ move permanent. But with Odegaard now unlikely to stay, it would give Arteta a problem to sort out this summer if both players depart.
In an interview with Onda Cero, as cited by The Mirror, Ceballos suggested that he sees his future being in La Liga:
“[I have] grown above all physically but also with the tactical side of things.
“I’m learning a lot in the Premier but I think La Liga is better for my game.”
In the same interview, Ceballos discussed Arsenal’s Europa League semi-final against Villarreal. He insisted that he is eager to win that competition to get in the Champions League:
He added: “We have not been at all consistent in the league to qualify to be in the top four as Arsenal’s goal, so now we are looking to reach that final of the Europa League. Enjoy it and win it.”
Aubameyang, Lacazette, Tierney, Luiz all ‘in contention’ for the Villarreal game.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with the club’s official website, Odegaard insisted that he is having a “good time” at Arsenal:
“I think the most important thing was how the club and how the manager wants to play and the style.
“As I’ve said many times, I always enjoyed the way Arsenal play football and now especially after Mikel took over, this style suits me really well.
“That was more important than the dream of playing in the Premier League. The most important thing was the club, the style and everything around.
“I’m having a good time, the manager is great and the team is good. So many good players and the way we play suits me really well.
“I think I’m adapting pretty good to the league and the style so I’m happy.”
