Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Everton’s targets will not change depending on the result of Wednesday night’s game against Man City.
The former Chelsea and AC Milan boss has done a great job since taking over at Everton in December 2019. He has a 50% win percentage from his 50 games as Toffees boss so far.
They suffered a setback at the weekend as they lost 2-0 to Fulham thanks to a debut brace from Josh Maja.

But the Toffees are still in a strong position in the Premier League. They sit seventh in the table after 22 games.
They have two games in hand over everyone above them barring Manchester City. Should they win these games, they would move up to fourth as it stands.
Speaking during his latest press conference, as cited by Inside Futbol, Ancelotti claimed that even if Everton lose to Man City, qualifying for Europe is still their “ambition”:
“I think that the games against City are not going to decide our ambition. Our ambition is still the same, to reach Europe at the end of the season.
“It does not matter what happens against City. It is easier to think that we are going to lose against City, but in football, you never know.
“We have the confidence to do well but also if we do lose, our target is not going to change. We have time to reach the target next month.”
