Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he is well aware of how “desperate” Everton fans are to win a trophy again.
The Italian has done a great job since taking over at Goodison Park having won 24 of his 48 games as boss.
Everton have really impressed so far this season and if they win their two games in hand, they would return to the top four as it stands.

The Toffees reached the quarter-final stage of this season’s Carabao Cup. They missed out on a place in the semi-finals as they lost 2-0 to Manchester United.
Ancelotti’s side are still in the FA Cup, though. They picked up victories over Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday to book their place in the fifth round.
They face Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on Wednesday as they hope to advance to the quarter-finals.
Speaking during his latest press conference, as cited by BBC Sport, Ancelotti insisted that his team “are working hard” to win some silverware:
“I know how the Evertonians are desperate to have a trophy back.
“I don’t know really if it is the right time this season, what I can ensure is we are doing everything to try and have a trophy here as soon as possible.”
Ancelotti was also asked about Jose Mourinho, and he said it is an “honour” to be compared to the Spurs boss:
“We are really close, it is an honour for me to be compared with Jose,” said Ancelotti.
“How I see his team play is comparable to us, that’s it.
“Jose’s teams are always balanced, doing a good job defensively and offensively.
“I don’t know if it’s new style or old style, it doesn’t matter.”
