When Manchester City sold Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid they reportedly insisted on an ‘anti-Man United clause’ in his contract.
Diaz made just 15 appearances in two-and-a-half seasons at the Etihad before being sold to Madrid for £15.5million.

According to the Daily Star, as part of the deal, City included a clause which stated that Madrid would be liable to pay a 40% sell-on fee if they allow Diaz to move to ‘another Manchester club’ – bad news for Salford City and United.
The Spaniard has made just 21 appearances for Madrid, leading to a loan move to AC Milan at the start of the season which has proven to be more successful.
The playmaker has notched four goals and three assists in 27 appearances and has played an integral role in Milan’s push for the Serie A title.
And United will have to be wary of his threat in the Europa League, a competition in which Diaz has scored three goals, including one against Celtic in December.
