25-yr-old high on Nuno’s list of summer targets, Spurs considering a £40m offer – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their attacking options before the transfer window closes and they are thought to be considering a £40 million offer for the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore.
According to the Telegraph, the 25-year-old Spanish international is high on Nuno Espirito Santo’s transfer list.
Nuno has worked with the player during their time together at wolves and it is hardly surprising that he wants to bring the 25-year-old to Spurs this summer.
The London club could definitely use more depth and quality in the wide areas but the potential fee of £40 million seems quite steep for a player who has been largely inconsistent during his time in the Premier League.
Traore can be unplayable on his day but his inconsistency will be a major concern for Tottenham if they decide to sign him.
If the 25-year-old can iron out his consistency issues, he could prove to be a remarkable addition to Nuno’s attack.
Traore will add blistering pace and flair in the final third and he could help Tottenham break down the deep defences with ease.
The Spaniard had a mediocre season last year and he will have to improve massively if he wants to play for clubs like Tottenham who are hoping to compete in the Champions League regularly.
It remains to be seen whether the Londoners can complete a deal to sign the Spanish international in the next few days now.
