Newcastle keeping tabs on highly rated midfielder who will cost £12.8m – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Newcastle United have been linked with a move for the Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara this summer.
According to a report from L’Equipe, the Premier League side are keeping tabs on the 21-year-old midfielder who will cost around £12.8 million.
Kamara has made quite a name for himself in the French league and he is expected to develop into a quality midfielder in future.
The 21-year-old could prove to be a superb long term investment for the Magpies if they manage to pull off his signing before the transfer window closes.
The reported £12.8 million asking price seems quite reasonable as well and the player has a lot of time and potential to justify the outlay.
Steve Bruce needs to add more depth to his midfield and Kamara could prove to be an upgrade on the likes of Jeff Hendrick this season.
Newcastle have already added more craft and goals to their midfield with the signing of Joe Willock and the addition of Kamara could complete their midfield unit for the season.
The 21-year-old could form a quality partnership with Willock and Isaac Hayden at the middle of the park.
Marseille are thought to be under pressure to sell some of their players in order to raise funds and Newcastle must make most of the opportunity and sign Kamara in the coming days.
