West Ham open talks to sign 26-yr-old from PL giants, player could cost £15m – originally posted on Sportslens.com
West Ham United are looking to improve their attacking options this summer and they have opened preliminary talks with Liverpool regarding the Belgian striker Divock Origi.
The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield and he barely played for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season.
Origi needs to live the Merseyside outfit in order to play regular first-team football and a move to West Ham could be ideal for him.
According to Football Insider, a bid of around £15 million could be enough to sign the Belgian this summer and West Ham are currently working to sign the player for a knockdown price.
Liverpool wanted to sell the player during the January transfer window as well but there were no suitable offers for the Belgian.
The player has three years left on his current deal at Anfield and it will be interesting to see if the Premier League giants can find a way to get rid of him before the transfer window shuts.
The Hammers need to bring in a striker to compete with Michail Antonio next season and Origi could be a useful option for them.
The Belgian certainly has the talent to succeed in the Premier League but he will need consistent game time in order to regain his sharpness and confidence.
